The PHS Boosters are pleased to award scholarships for the 48th year, to deserving members of the Palatine High School graduating class of 2022 wishing to further their education. These scholarships are being awarded to graduating seniors who have demonstrated leadership, academic excellence, service, and volunteerism at PHS and in the community. 

The Pirate Booster Club is awarding 12 scholarships in honor of Fred Zajonc. Mr. Zajonc was a community leader, a village trustee, and a long time member and past president of the Booster Club. Mr. Zajonc worked tirelessly to generate parent and community support of Palatine High School.

Two scholarships donated by PHS alumni, Andy and Patric Donahue, in honor of their parents, the late Charlotte and Robert Donahue.

The class of 2022 “Charlotte M. and Robert C. Donahue Millennium Scholarship” recipients are:

  • Margaret Sanchez

The Legacy Scholarship for the class of 2022 was donated by the PHS Graduating Class of 1979.

The class of 2022 Legacy Scholarship recipient is:

  • Joey Spizzirri

A scholarship in the name of The One Love Foundation, donated by the Choi family. The Choi Family has recent graduates from Palatine High School and Mrs. Jean Choi was an active PHS Booster member and served as Booster President for many years.

The recipient of the One Love Foundation Scholarship is:

  • Elisabeth Eterno

Elenor and Michael Kanis have kindly donated one additional scholarship to the class of 2022. The Kanis family have six children who graduated from Palatine High School and want to give a “hand up” to help a PHS student realize their dream.

The recipient of the Elenor and Michael Kanis scholarship is:

  • Colin Bertrand

 

**Applications for 2023 will be available in January of 2023.**

Applicant Requirements:

Must be attending a 4 year college/university, 2 year community college or a certified trade/vocational school. Minimum 2.0 GPA. If applicant has less than a 2.0 average, but has extenuating circumstances, please submit completed application along with a separate typed statement of explanation.

Selection Criteria:

The scholarship committee is looking for students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, academic excellence, service and volunteerism at Palatine High School and in the community.
